Every client company on AIONA gets its own portal, under your practice's name and brand. Clients reach it through a secure link - no password, no app to install, no account to create. If they can open a link, they can use it.
That design choice is deliberate. Business owners do not want another login, and your team does not want to spend onboarding calls resetting passwords. Removing both problems at once takes away the usual reasons client portals go unused.
The three numbers a client actually wants
Ask a small company owner what they want from their accountant between year ends and it usually comes down to three numbers: what is owed to me, what do I owe, and how much should I be setting aside for VAT. The portal keeps all three in front of the client, up to date with every posting, and always drawn from the books your practice has reviewed.
That last part is the point. AIONA never posts anything without human sign-off, so the figures a client sees in their portal are figures your practice is prepared to stand behind, not a live guess from unchecked data. If you want the detail of how the review gate works, read review-first versus silent automation.

Monday Money: one digest, at most one action
Every Monday, each client receives a short digest under your practice's brand. It shows the three numbers, what changed in the last week, and at most one action. One, not five. If a decision is needed, the digest asks for exactly that decision. If nothing is needed, it asks for nothing.
The single-action rule is a discipline, not a limitation. A digest that only ever asks for something when it matters does not train clients to ignore it.

Approvals answered in one tap, recorded with the books
When your team hits something only the client can answer - was this £180 card payment business or personal? - you send an approval request from inside AIONA. It arrives in the portal, the client answers in one tap, and the answer is recorded alongside the transaction in a tamper-evident audit trail. Months later, when someone asks why an item was treated the way it was, the client's own answer is attached to the entry, with a timestamp.
No more decisions buried in text threads or reconstructed from memory. The question, the answer and the posting sit together in the file.
Missing receipts land where they belong
The portal lists the transactions that are still missing paperwork. The client photographs each receipt and uploads it against the specific item, so it lands attached to the right transaction rather than in a shared inbox waiting to be matched by hand. The chase list shrinks in front of the client, which turns receipt-chasing from a quarterly argument into a two-minute habit.
Paperwork that does not belong to a listed transaction can still come in. The portal accepts general document uploads, and invoices can be forwarded by email straight into the client's book. Everything flows into the same capture and review pipeline your team already works in.
Messages that reach the practice
Clients can send a message from the portal and it reaches your team inside AIONA, attached to the client's book. Replies go back the same way. Questions arrive with their context, rather than as a voicemail that starts with "it's about that invoice, you know the one".
Why this is worth money to your practice
The portal is a client feature, but the commercial case belongs to the practice.
- Fewer interruptions. "How much should I keep back for VAT" stops being a call to your office, because the answer is already in the client's pocket, kept current from books you have reviewed.
- A visible reason for the fee. Most good bookkeeping is invisible by design. A client who has received a useful digest under your brand every Monday for a year has seen a slice of your work every week, and renewal conversations start from a different place.
- An experience other practices cannot easily match. A practice that can say "check your portal, it is live" is having a different conversation from one that says "I'll look into it and come back to you".
Included in the per-client price
The portal, the Monday digest, approvals, uploads and messaging are all part of the standard per-client price: £24 per client per month, £19 from your 26th client and £15 from your 76th, with unlimited users and the AI included. There are no client-facing charges and nothing for your clients to subscribe to. Your own company and your first client are free, so you can put a real portal in front of a real client before paying anything.
See pricing for the full breakdown, or talk to us about trying it with your first client. The portal sits on top of the same reviewed ledger as reconciliation and VAT, so what the client sees is always what the books say.
